| How it all became...It all started when I went for a ride to a thoroughbred racehorse breeding farm. A friend was breeding her quarter horse mare, who was a good jumper, to a thoroughbred in hopes of getting a good event horse for herself. Fast forward 11 months and little Foxy Reality was born, July 3, 2002. During the 11 months of waiting for the baby, I helped care for the mom. Then as the baby grew I help with little things like teaching her to let someone pick out her feet, grooming and getting her use to tack, never knowing that some day I would own her. After about 3 years it was clear that she would not grow big enough for her original owner who was a tall person. She only grew to 14.2 HH, so in May of 2006 when she was coming on 4 years old I had the opportunity to own her. Since then she has come a long way in her training. She loves to jump, just like her mom, but has also learned some dressage. She like to go on trail rides and has even tried a couple of fox hunts. One of her favorite activities is hanging out in the field with her best friends Sylph and Buddy. In all it has been a fun challenge so far and I am sure there will be plenty more challenges to come along. I am glad that I had the opportunity to know her since the day she was born. Below are some photos of what she has been up to in the last few years. |
